You are guaranteed to get the gear faster by spamming the house or the drake than you are by farming the hard bosses. It's worse. Like yes it can guarantee getting the gear itself, however getting drops is just much easier and faster. I only did Darkmoor 5 runs and got about 2/3 of Malistaire Gear + Yvegny athame.
