History Tointon Family Stadium was built in 1961 and named for Bob and Betty Tointon, 1955 K-State graduates who donated money for renovations in 2002. The field itself is named for Frank Myers, who served K-State from 1921 to 1962 in various capacities, including baseball coach, assistant athletic director and intramural sports director.
