As far as I could tell, the red dot on the gauss is not just obstructed by the suppressor, but also misaligned. IIRC you have to put the dot well below the target. The mod selection is pretty good though, and even stock it has surprisingly good hipfire accuracy. Suppressor is the big differentiator for gauss IMO.

The gauss shotgun has plenty of power, but the spread sucks. Gauss minigun is annoying to keep after due to unfriendly ammo upkeep and durability. I'd rate the existing gauss rifle, mini gun, gatlin gun and ultracite gatling laser higher than the bullion gauss weapons.
