I wore the stone armor until Anor Londo, then I changed over to the Giants armor. I used a Lighting Zweihander, and let me tell you it is mega strong. For my shield I used the greatshield you make with Sifs soul. Chaos Zweihander (Weapon) Grass Crest Shield (Off-hand Weapon) Pyromancy Flame (Weapon) Mask of the Father (Helmet) Giant Armor Set (Minus the helmet) Havel Ring (Ring) Ring of Favor & Protection (Ring) Black Flame (Spell) Speaking of legends in the Dark Souls mythos, none can match the notoriety and esteem of the fan-created Giant Dad character.My suggestion for weapons is try to get a black knight weapon early on in the game. Black knights will probably seem very tough and hard to kill at first, but they are actually very weak if you can block and backstab. In case you cant get a black knight weapon, Zweihander is a good choice.

Zweihander scales with strength with a C rating so it may not seem that great. However, it has a base damage rating of 325 so it's still pretty good. If you want, you can use resins or Great Magic Weapon, Crystal Magic Weapon, Sunlight Blade, Darkmoon Blade, etc. to increase the damage with an enchantment while still having decent strength scaling. The Zweihander has C Str scaling and D Dex scaling, giving it okay scaling with Strength and mediocre scaling with Dexterity. Your stats are actually reasonably positioned to take care of that.
