For power You will want to find 2 generators before power goes out. one for the nearest gas station and one for your safehouse. Store as few filled gas cans at the safehouse to run the house generator (gives you access to a working oven/fridge). For the gas station generator plop it down at the gas station but dont connect it until you need to.
