I don't know what hatchery, but someone locally (Virginia) was supposed to get a large order of day-old chicks on the 17th, but they arrived on the 23rd, all dead, of course. They complained to the post office, and they said mail shipments have been slowed down to cut costs, and they've already seen other incidents of this with chicks.
