Feb 2, 2021. #1. I have an old Springfield 67E .410 pump shotgun I am trying to get repaired. The problem is that the magazine will not hold the shells. When you push a shell into the magazine it just pops right back out. The gun is in otherwise good condition. I have never fired this gun because shortly after buying it I discovered this problem.

FWIW, I have heard and read that these were standard issue vehicle weapons for many of the prominent Police Departments back in the 80's and into the 90's. Wouldn't think that major PD's would issue complete junk to the officers, but then again it is a branch of the government.

I have a 67-H 12 ga pump and a model 170 pump 30-30 (actually a Revelation model 260 which is the Savage model 170 series B). when the gun is fired, there is a lug on the left side of the hammer which catches a hooked spring on the slide lock and pulls the release down & unlocks it.
