It has a lot more rust and the stock is broken. It is also a semi-auto so there are far more pieces to deal with.

The 552 is a nice accurate sporting rifle and deserves a good scope. I would suggest that you look up "Clearidge Optic" in on your computer. They have a line of 22 specific scopes, 3x9 with the adjustable from objective lens. These scopes are made entirely in Japan and the quality is about as good as you will get.
